Koh Phangan Parties - Full Moon Party - Half Moon Party - Any Party - We Cover Them All!

Early last week the boys from Phangan Fun Factory taught young Zab how to dive! We were lucky enough to be around for his pool session. You wouldn’t think it but Zab hasn’t swam for 10 years! Let alone dive!
What you see here is the pool session for the PADI Open Water course, the course consists of a day in the classroom learning theory and then half a day in a swimming pool getting used to the equipment and practicing some key skills. After this there follows 2 days out on the dive boat during which time you will take 4-6 live dives. Really if you come to Koh Phangan then learning to dive is one of those must do things.

I have to say that Zab actually did really well, much better than I did when I first learned. We were expecting quite a show considering how long it had been since Zab had put a foot in the water but he disappointed us and did everything perfectly….
The guys at Phangan Fun Factory really are a good laugh, they did a fine job of encouraging a rather nervous Zab to relax. After about 15 minutes he was completely at his ease, a fantastic example of how professional Juergan and his team are.

It’s a shame we didn’t get to follow Zab for his boat dives, he ended up swimming with grey reef sharks, he tells us it was quite an experience.
