We were fortunate to be invited to the opening party of a rather new and unique enterprise upon Koh Phangan last week, not new in what it does but certainly new in the way they have positioned themselves.
Sabai Sabai are an internet cafe and travel agency that have found themselves a very cool little unit right at the back of the night market, I can’t help but think this location is fantastic, so many people use the night market for the great food available it’s almost impossible for them not to pick up a lot of walk in trade from the market customers.
Sabai Sabai is a joint venture between Willow, a stocky lad from Oz with a background in water sports related travel and Mr Lek, a Thai entrepreneur with an impressive track record. They offer very cheap internet access along with all manner of travel related bookings.
So next time you are sitting in the night market in Thongsala noshing on your bowl of noodle soup why not pop across, check your email, book a dive trip and have a chat?
