Moon Set Party - 1st July 2007
I will admit straight out that the moon set party is my particular favourite. Ok it’s small compared to the other parties that happen here but it is very friendly. The bar staff Keih and Pe are always smiling and the service at the bar is fast.
The party goers also seem to be more friendly here, maybe because of the large chill out area and the fact that they are not being jostled, shoulder to shoulder in a crowd of people like other parties.
The DJ was bang on as usual, playing a heady mix of psycho trance with some pretty wild rock guitar driven sequences although the fact that the tide was in and very high meant the dance floor (AKA beach) was a lot smaller than usual……
It really is a shame this party isn’t supported more, ok it’s a fair journey from Haad Rin to get to it, so I guess a lot of the people who stay there don’t even try but it is well worth the effort.
Pirates bar is a great location, the natural cove and rock formations form a fantastic backdrop for the party and on the right night this is possibly the best party on the island.
